Easter calendar for kids

A cosy calendar that tells the Easter story behind every door.

You open the first door on Palm Sunday, then one a day all the way through to Easter Monday.

The illustrations follow the Easter story, and if you'd like a bit of "something to talk about", here's what's behind the doors:

• Palm Sunday: The entry into Jerusalem. Jesus rides in on a donkey and the crowd waves palm branches.
• Monday: The chief priests glare angrily in the direction of the "entry" and start making plans.
• Tuesday: Still a festive mood in Jerusalem, and the children up in the tree are dreaming about what it'll be like when Jesus becomes king.
• Wednesday: Judas meets the chief priests. They agree on his reward and he tells them that the one he kisses is Jesus.
• Thursday: A washbasin is left on the floor after Jesus has washed the disciples' feet. They eat the last supper, and Judas feels left out.
• Friday: The crucifixion. This door has silhouettes of the three crosses and the people standing around them.
• Saturday: People have gathered at the well, and they're sad.
• Sunday: The women bring flowers to the tomb, but the stone has been rolled away and an angel is there.
• Monday: Jesus shows himself to the people, with the wounds in his hands.

This calendar has no text at all.

The back has the same pictures, just without colour, so your child can make their own artwork out of them.

Roughly right for ages 3-8.

Size: A4.
